We recently attended a media day for one of our clients, racing driver James Dorlin, where his new car was unveiled.
We have worked with James since he was 14-years-old. Now 18, he has partnered with Westbourne Motorsport in a bid to win the 2018 Renault UK Clio Cup, which gets underway on 7 April 2018.
The event was great fun. Not only did we attend the media interviews and meet his race team, but also we were able to tour the pits and James took us out onto the track for a few guest laps, which was undoubtedly our favourite part! It wasn’t all fun and games, though, as we were gathering footage for James’ new website. You can check it out here.
James has worked his way up the ranks, from racing in the lower leagues to competing in the Clio Cup, and so it was only right that we developed a website that mirrors his career path. The website we have produced is an upgrade of his former site. Not only does the new version look better and operate with ease, but also it reflects his advancement both in terms of age and career progression. The last website we did reflected that he was a 14-year-old racing driver, both in terms of usability and appearance. The new website shows him as a mature driver and his current capabilities.
Not only has James achieved a lot since we developed his initial website four years ago, but the web design industry has evolved too. The new website is built on a responsive CMS, which has evolved dramatically since his first site.
We wish James luck for the new season. We will be rooting for him! He is widely regarded as one of the brightest emerging talents in motorsport; so if you have not heard of him before, check him out racing this season. He will be looking to convert all of his rookie success (and he has had a lot of it!) into a full-scale title bid.
